Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Who would likely have Adding, Editing, or Deleting access to this feature?
A: [Placeholder: Add role-specific guidance based on your institution's access policies. Access to managing departments is determined by assigned user or group permissions. Coordinate with your administrators for specific access requirements.]

Q: How does assigning a person or class to a department affect them in the system?
A: In the system, department links organize students and classes into departmental filters, ID card template designs, and department-scoped dashboard calendars.

Q: Can I delete a department that already has students and classes assigned to it?
A: To preserve data integrity and prevent orphan records, the database requires linked records to be reassigned before a department can be safely deleted.
